Guided Natural History Tours

Common Swallowtail

Common Swallowtail

The day tours are organized throughout the year in all seasons. Please contact us with your suggested dates. Group sizes: 1-8 people.

Nature tours are more stationary than walks and are perfect for naturalists or walkers who prefer to explore different sites and have transport nearby, instead of dissappearing into the mountains for hours.

Guides who lead nature walks have their favourite spots and know where to expect a certain bird, plant or a mammal. This makes seeing something special much more likely. Not having to worry about navigation eliminates the slight unease anyone feels when being in unknown territory. No chance of getting lost will help you plan your day – you won´t be late for dinner. No need to carry lots of equipment, guidebooks, map or GPS – your hands and your mind will be free to take photographs or to just “be”. All the questions you´ve always had about Andalucía and its fauna and flora can be answered: how often is the cork tree stripped? Do Griffon vultures eat an occasional rabbit or a small hiker? What is that red fruit on the tree? And finally: sharing nature is a pleasure. It´s contagious and it´s exhilarating, it´s healthy and it´s worthwhile, no matter what your age or nationality, it´s a common language possibly easiest to learn. Let´s meet in the fields and the mountains to speak this special language and enjoy the day.

Our guides will lead you to the best sites for orchids, birds, butterflies so that you do not need to waste your precious holiday time researching and asking directions. Not only that, the guides have a trained eye to spot animals and plants which are hidden away and that easy to see. Our guides´philosophy is knowing your  “local patch” well and all the seasonal changes that happen there during the year.
